Beautiful original work by Rick Mobbs. I’d love to know what he calls this piece. It is an image prompt from his collaborative poetry project. See the site “Mine enemy grows older” : http://rickmobbs.wordpress.com/2008/05/01/5108-image-prompt/#comments
Every week an image is posted and poets are invited to contribute to the collective storybook Rick is putting together.
I found this on Junky’s wife’s blog @ http://www.thejunkyswife.com/ . She is an endless source of inspiration and wisdom for me. An amazing woman. Thank you…
Working on something worthy - be back later with a post.
It is now later, 6 may - and I have reduced and distilled what I’d written initially to the final 3 haiku below.
Ceremony
I kneel before you
my heart beating in my hands
wet is witness past
Awakening
Venerable day
into sapphire arcs
twirls endless pavanes
From the River to the Shore
As you pale to slate
horizon to the moons’ climb
the night surrenders
